PDP: Interior Design vs Interior Decoration


Guest judges Cameron Woo and Jeremy Rowe of popular reality TV series The Apartment will be sharing professional interior design tips at this seminar. Interior Design practitioners, design enthusiasts and home owners will be able to gain insights into the process of interior design. There will also be an exclusive tour of the AkzoNobel Design House for participants.

Topic 1: Interior Design and Interior Decoration Distinctions

Presented by Mr. Cameron Woo, Principal of Cameron Woo Design (CWD)

This seminar is an explanation to both practitioners and home owners alike on the Interior Design Process, understanding the different Interior Design stages, what are the scope of works to be undertaken by the ID Professional, and what Home Owners can undertake themselves to save costs.

About The Speakers

Cameron Woo, Founder, Cameron Woo Design, Australia/ Singapore

Cameron Woo, founder of Cameron Woo Design (CWD), is celebrated as one of the world’s top interior designers. His firm has been featured in the interior design bible, Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, the Oscars of the interior design world, and has won multiple awards from the International Property Awards, London for World’s Best Interior Design, Asia Pacific’s Best Interior Design and for Singapore. CWD’s clientele include many of the world’s leading property developers such as Kerry Properties, Swire Properties, Capitaland Residential, Ho Bee Group and Mulpha International.

Cameron Woo has been invited to speak at international interior design conferences such as100% Design, China International Interior Design Cultural Festival, One to One with World ClassDesigners and Hong Kong International Lighting Fair. He is also the Chair of the Professional Development Programme for the Interior Design Confederation Singapore (IDCS).

CWD has collaborated with some of the world’s largest consumer and prestige brands such asDulux, Louis Vuitton and Philips Lighting. Cameron Woo is a panellist on AkzoNobel’s Colour Futures and is currently a guest judge and mentor on the hit international interior design reality television show The Apartment TV, Rising Stars Edition (Season 5).

Jeremy Rowe, Managing Director, AkzoNobel Decorative Paints, South East & South Asia, Middle East

With extensive experience in growth and strategy, Jeremy was brought into AkzoNobel on April 15, 2009 to lead the Decorative Paints team in South East Asia & Pacific.

Currently as the Managing Director for Decorative Paints in South East, South Asia & Middle East, Jeremy has built up the capabilities and collective leadership in the region to transform the organization into extending leadership in the marketplace. Jeremy’s top priorities are to advance the team’s strategic thinking and organizational development. He is steering the team to focus on customers’ expectation and the need for self-expression.

Prior to joining AkzoNobel, Jeremy provided strategy consulting services, first with Accenture and then as an independent to an extensive list of clients including Unilever.

An expert in developing and delivering corporate and business strategy, he shares his scope and depth as a passionate advisor to numerous global and pan-Asian multi-national organizations all around the world.

Jeremy has since led the team in South East & South Asia, Middle East to creating more value for the customers, consumers and their personal life. A believer in self-managed leadership, Jeremy brings his team on a leadership journey that advocates that an organisation can only grow as fast as its people grow.
